	About CNWS Publications CNWS Publications was established in 1991 as the publishing branch of the CNWS School. It publishes ca. ten books annually and has a backlist of more than 150 titles. Its main aim is to enhance the scholarly prestige and outward face of the CNWS as a research institute and to make available research generated by members of the CNWS research community to the broader public. It facilitates the publication of the research findings of senior and junior members of the research school either as individual publications or as part of specialised series. It assists talented young scholars to develop authorial experience and gain credentials by publishing their first books. The series currently published by the CNWS are: ILLA (Indigenous Languages of Latin America), Mauritiana (on Maps and documents concerning Dutch Brazil: 1624 -1654), RMV (Mededelingen van het Rijksmuseum voor Volkenkunde), Sanjiao wenxian (Matériaux pour l’etude de la religion Chinoise), and Studies in Overseas History.
